Emily Swallow

Emily Swallow (born December 18, 1979) is an American actor from America. She is well-known for her roles in The Mentalist's Kim Fischer and Supernatural's 11th season as Amara The Darkness. She also appeared as The Armorer in the live-action Star Wars series The Mandalorian as well as a role in the role of Emily in the video game The Last of Us Part II. Swallow was born in Washington, D.C. on December 18 1979. She was raised in Sterling, Virginia, and Jacksonville, Florida. Swallow began acting while at Stanton College Preparatory School. She also took part in amateur and professional theatre productions. Swallow received a BA in Middle Eastern Studies at the University of Virginia in 2001. She pursued her studies for an MFA in Acting at the New York University's Tisch School of the Arts in Acting. The show was the world premiere of Donald Margulies’ play The Country House at Los Angeles’ Geffen Playhouse. She also starred opposite Mark Rylance in Louis Jenkinsthe production of Nice Fish at Guthrie Theatre. In the year 2010 she was awarded the Falstaff Award as best female performer for her role in The Taming of the Shrew. She also performed with Jac Huberman in Jac N Swallow's musical romantic Poetry at the Manhattan Theatre Club. The show revolves around their hilarious mishaps when they face diverse life circumstances.
