Rashida Jones

Rashida Jones was born Los Angeles, California to Quincy Jones, a media producer and mogul. Alongside Peggy Lipton, Rashida is the younger sister of actress Peggy Lipton and Quincy Jones. Her older sister is Kidada Jones, and five half-siblings from the other relationships her father has with his children. Her father is African American and her mother Ashkenazi Jewish (a descendant emigrants of Russia as well as Latvia). Rashida was raised in Reform Judaism. She was raised in Bel Air Los Angeles, California. Jones has revealed of her dual race parents, "It was the 1970s and it's not even that acceptable for them to be together." Jones made her debut as a professional actor in The Last Don in 1997 the mini-series based on Mario Puzo. Also in 1997, Rashida graduated from Harvard University.
