Robin Gayle

Robin Gayle Wright was born in Dallas, Texas, to Gayle (Gaston) and was a national director at Mary Kay, and Freddie Wright who was a pharmaceutical executive. Her home was San Diego, California. She began her career as a model in the year 1980 when she was 14 years old, and was a model in Paris and Japan. After graduating from high school, she made the decision to become an actor. She was cast in the soap opera Santa Barbara (1984), for which she was nominated three times for an Daytime Emmy. Dane Witherspoon was her fellow cast member, and she was married to him in 1986. She played the role of the princess bride (1987) in the title role. After she left the cast of Santa Barbara, she got the lead role in Denial (1990) alongside Jason Patric. In the year 1990, she was in State of Grace (1990), where she met actor Sean Penn, by whom she had a daughter, Dylan Frances, and a son named Hopper Jack. After a short break, Robin was back to Hollywood with one of the most memorable roles of her career: She was Tara in The Playboys (1992). She was extremely gorgeous and brilliant. Then, she acted in Toys (1992) in Toys (1992) alongside Robin Williams, and she delivered a hilarious performance. In 1994, Wright was in the blockbuster hit Forrest Gump (1994), with Tom Hanks. Wright was nominated for the Golden Globe Award for her part in the film as Jenny. She had a small role in The Crossing Guard (1995), which starred Jack Nicholson. After refusing 14 roles, she was offered the title role in MGM/UA’s Moll Flanders (1996). The movie was directed by Pen Densham and featured Morgan Freeman, Stockard Channing, and Morgan Freeman. Alongside William Hurt, she was then in Erin Dignam's Loved (1997).
