Markie Post

Markie Post grew up in Walnut Creek, California and started her career on films and TV shows like Card Sharks (1978) and "The New Card Sharks" (1986) and went on to even make projects like Double Dare (1976) and appeared on such television projects like 1st to Die (2003), E! True Hollywood Story (1996) and Electra Woman (2000). Perhaps her most famous TV role was as "Christine Sullivan" on Night Court (1984). From 1984 to 1992, she was in 156 episodes. She was the daughter of Marylee (Armstrong) Post, poet and noted nuclear physical scientist Richard Freeman Post (November 14 1918 - April 7, 2015). She had two daughters with her second husband Michael A. Ross: Katie Ross (born June 26 in 1987) and Daisy Ross (born March 30 in 1990). She was born in Palo Alto, California and raised in Walnut Creek. As an athletics coach, she attended Las Lomas High school in Walnut Creek. She earned her Bachelor of Arts at Lewis & Clark College, Portland Oregon. She performed a few trick roping in The Wildest West Show of the Stars (1986). The body was cremated and the remains were returned to her husband Michael A. Ross. She was a lifetime Democrat. Markie Post passed away on 7 August 2021, three months before what would have been her 71st birthday, which was on November 4. She died on the 27th day following Charles Robinson, her Night Court (1984) co-star, died on the 11th of July 2021. While they were totally different shows Night Court (1984), which she played the role of Christine Sullivan leaving for Washington DC. Hearts Afire (1992), in which Post played a new role Georgie Lahti (who, incidentally, had worked in Washington DC before moving to a smaller area), began in 1992.
