Anne Burrell

Anne W. Burrell was known as a TV host, ex-chef of the Institute of Culinary Education and previously taught cooking. She's the host of Secrets of a Restaurant Chef on the Food Network and the co-host of Worst Cooks in America. Anne Burrell, in her Food Network series Secrets of a Restaurant Cook shows easy to master techniques and her trademark spiky blond tresses. Chef Burrell has also worked in some of New York's top restaurants, studied Italian cuisine and the traditions associated with it, and was a contestant on Food Network Iron Chef America. As a child in the Upstate New York area, Chef Burrell developed a passion for food and cooking at an early age. After earning an English and Communication degree from Canisius College in Buffalo NY she started to pursue her passion for the industry of restaurants by enrolling in The Culinary Institute of America. I was awed by every minute as a student The Culinary Institute of America she states. It was impossible to study or learn enough. Following graduation, Burrell worked at La Bottega del 30 in Tuscany and La Taverna del Lupo (in Umbria) while attending the Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners. While in Italy has helped her understand and appreciate the Italian tradition and philosophy, and it has had an impression on her perception of food. Burrell was a part of the Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board which aims to enrich children's lives who are facing problems. Burrell is also an Juvenile Research Foundation Celebrity Ambassador where she advocates for the awareness of juvenile diabetes. In her capacity as an inspirational speaker, she is on the road to share her passion for food as well as her career in the culinary field. Anne said she felt lucky to be able to share her true passion with other people.
